The Comprehensive Survey Forum is designed to identify and explain some of the changes that are most significant to the provider community. The speakers will also outline ways for Owners, Administrators and Directors of Nursing to minimize risk and achieve good survey outcomes. An update on CMS new rules, program letters and policies will also be provided. In addition, information on how to track and calculate your Five Star rating will be shared.

Managing surveyors while in the building (including arguing PNC), discussion of new procedures at state and federal level (including new exit conference procedures), best practices for plans of correction and revisits. Real life scenarios.
3:15 - 4:00 pm Plan B: When Despite Best Efforts The Survey Goes South; Appeal Strategies Michele Conroy Reasons to appeal, forum of appeal, common mistakes providers make, specific examples of what can be achieved on appeal and how that impacts your 5-Star points.
