Session Description:
The last several years have seen dramatic changes in the survey and enforcement process. This session is designed to identify and explain some of those changes most significant to the provider community.. The speakers will also outline ways for Owners, Administrators and Directors of Nursing to minimize risk, and achieve good survey outcomes. An update on CMS new rules, program letters and policies will also be provided.
Topics will include:
ODH release of electronic 2567
Immediate Jeopardy trends and how to avoid
Trends in survey citations and top citations
How to communicate with surveyors
Use case studies to explain hot LSC issues and how and when to request waivers
Provide explanation of new IDR and I-IDR process and discuss real life example arguments and their outcomes
Explaining what licensure changes will drive new policies and procedures
Panel discussion with Survey and Enforcement regulations moderated by OHCA counsel
