About the Program:
The Minimum Data Set Version 3.0 (MDS 3.0) is due to be implemented by CMS for skilled nursing facilities across the nation on October 1, 2010. As this version is drastically different than the MDS 2.0, facilities need to train their entire disciplinary team to be prepared. The MDS plays a huge role in facility reimbursement, survey outcomes and quality measures available to the public -- you cannot afford not to be prepared.
For over 50 years, OHCA has provided the highest quality, concise and accurate information, and you can count on OHCA to train you and your staff on this important issue. The programs have been scheduled early and often to allow facilities to send multiple staff to a variety of locations. Because of the complexities of the MDS, 3.0 a comprehensive two-day training program has been developed. In addition to instruction from the Ohio Department of Health, OHCA has assembled a team of expert MDS faculty who have extensive skilled nursing facility experience. They understand your business. They can provide real life examples of how to transition to this new assessment tool effectively.
Facilities should consider sending multiple staff to the one of the first available training programs to be on the cutting edge of how to react and what proactive steps to take to stay on top of these new assessment changes. Programs have been scheduled in Columbus in August & September to offer the opportunity to refresh staff training just before the actual implementation on October 1, 2010.
In addition, all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a series of Q & A audio conferences in October, November & December, to assure your transition to this new tool is a success.
The EFOHCA Comprehensive MDS 3.0 Training Program will be your foundation of success in your facility’s use of the revised assessment instrument.
