Program Description:

The biggest challenge the SNF team faces is knowing when skilled coverage is proper and how to document all the efforts made by the SNF staff to assure timely reimbursement and future audit success. The program will review Medicare technical eligibility requirements, the Skilled Medicare criteria and the documentation requirements for skilled services. Definitions commonly used but often misunderstood will also be reviewed, such as spell of illness or benefit period.
